In collaboration with Sophie’s Grill and Bar:
Greece meets Raleigh, North Carolina. Celebrate the bold and delicious flavors of the Mediterranean while joining in for an evening of cultural dance.
This special evening will take place at Sophie’s Grill, a family endeavor helmed by first-generation immigrants to America. Owner and chef Desislava, or “Desy,” hails from Bulgaria and started her restaurant as a way to share the love and hospitality of her grandmother’s cooking. As a European immigrant, Desy loves to offer celebrations of different cultures and support to cultural artists!
With this experience, you will explore authentic flavors from the country of Greece. This includes a delicious buffet of Greek cuisine where you can try new flavors or old favorites to your heart’s content. To pair, there will be cultural beverages featuring white wine, an anison aperitive, and an amber after drink: all with Greek heritage.
Finally, this evening will showcase a Syrtaki Dance Performance along with complimentary lessons! So whether you want to watch or participate, you’ll be able to experience something fun and unique.
